A great game
Mandra Solid story, likable characters, simple yet enjoyable gameplay, good music, and lots of perverted stuff at every corner.
Perfect :3 |
Amazing
solanata Oh man, we have some talented people working on an eroge here. I would love to see more games with interesting gameplay like this, |
Simply put: The best Eroge
Oakator So, you want to play a dirty game. That's nice.
So, first, we're gonna have an interesting plot concept and cool characters.
Then, we're gonna make the game play really solid. Clear mechanics, class roles, etc. Throw in some cool boss fights.
Oh! Let's make 99.5% of all the sex scenes SUPER hot. Uh... throw in, like, 3 or 4 weird ones that will make you feel SUPER uncomfortable. Just because perfection is over-rated.
This is my favorite Eroge (the slot was previously held by Koihime Musou... another game you should play.)
Buy this game and thank me later. |
Top One
kazutokun18 This game is my top one game ever. |
Awesome
ItinerantHound The game play is okay, but in terms of dialogue the game is excellent. A decent story interlaced with some fantastic lines make this one a keeper. |
All Good !
Nanjou Super fun story, able to deliver more than simple cliché riding and offers some of the most compelling JRPG elements, character designs, music, voice acting, everything is great !
If you like VN and want to play a JRPG that is also pretty good in terms of gameplay,I recommend getting this definitely.
Thanks MangaGamer for the translation and hope you'll publish more Alicesoft games. |
Best VN i have played so far
terryacer If you like RPGs and VNs then this game is for you. Great game! |
Best Ero Game maker
jingerjingle Please publish more Alicesoft games in the future! |
Hopes getting 2 in the future
raku Hopes getting 2 in the future |
Great J-RPG
thereisnokoala Offers a ton of content and game play. J-RPG element is fun and story-line/world is interesting to play through. Due to this, I found myself paying more attention to the characters, which in turn enhanced the adult elements of the game. I do recommend playing with a walk-through, since sometimes it's hard to figure out where you are supposed to go to next. |
Surprisingly Fun for Newcomer
Val I wasn't sure what to expect, since I've never played a game like this before. I figured it would be some kind of awkward dating simulator with RPG elements thrown in (Mass Effect Andromeda *cough*). After playing, I realized that the game storyline and dialogue was as entertaining as a "Tales of" game, and it has the romance and sex scenes I've always wanted. The game elements were about on par with a typical JRPG, but without obnoxious levels of grinding. Gotta say, I was impressed. Worth the money. |
Thoroughly enjoyable
jacksh11t Excellent balance of gameplay and racy content. One of the best I have ever played. |
a great surprise
Disaresta I did not expect to be more interested in the story than the tits, and yet I was. It's impressive because there's some stonking great tits in Evenicle. if it was just a regular RPG without the eroge parts it'd still be worth picking up, but it has them and it's all the more satisfying for it.
The price is a little high, but I'd say it's worth it. Don't hesitate to buy it if it's on sale. |
Completed
Kisaragi I now want a sequel.
At its core, Evenicle carries its Alicesoft nature on its sleeve: a game with both Ero and gameplay.
While the game may feel easy, think of it in this way: this could be the beginning of a whole new series of games, and it stands to reason that it'd be better to lower the hurdle a bit to get peopke through the door and into this early on.
On the side of people wanting to challenge, go for the Megas, without careful planning be warned, they will wreck you.
Waiting with wallet wide open for the next installment of the, hoped for, series.
P.S. TAKE MY MONEY!
P.P.S. Aster gave me a sense of almost a... 'clean' version of Rance. He's straight forward and driven by his desires. But due to the way the world is laid out he can't just pull a Rance. He as has what could only be called a basic level a decency, something that Rance was only able to have comparatively to the villains of his home series. |
My favorite Visual Novel/JRPG
Baconaterswagg Out of the many JRPGs and Visual novels I have played, Evenicle has done the best job combining the two in my opinion so far. The art and style are stellar, the gameplay is fun, the music is catchy, and the characters are very memorable. I Couldn't be happier with this title. Hope we get as much as Evenicle as possible over here. Whether its a physical release and/or the side games like Evenicle Gaiten. |
A Must Buy for AliceSoft Fans
A2ZOMG Disclaimer: I am an avid fan of the Rance series; it was my primary motivation for playing AliceSoft games.
Evenicle is an extremely solid standalone title among AliceSoft's wealth of games that demonstrate a lot of love for both compelling gameplay and beautiful storytelling. The description of this game merely scratches the surface of the deep and interesting world presented by this game. If you are a fan of typical JRPG game flow, you likely will get a lot out of this game, and fortunately EXP is easy enough to acquire in this game to not be a major chore obstructing your progression of the long story.
Speaking of the story, AliceSoft style stories tend to be extremely unashamed to push the limits in more ways that one. It is somewhat odd for instance how polygamy is justified in the world of Evenicle, but much effort is demonstrated in writing out character development that explains how the perverted yet noble protagonist Aster gains the trust and affection of all of his wives individually. While the story may be wondefully warm and lighthearted in those moments, Alicesoft's other strength in storytelling is weaving in dark and sinister themes that highlight the flaws of the fantasy society the characters live in. Expect moments that involve political corruption, murder of innocents, and rape to be a part of the story as well.
Aesthetically, while 3D models are used for the overworld and for battles, they may be the only real weak point of the game as their relative lack of detail is in somewhat abrupt contrast with the beautiful character sprites and CGs of this game. That being said, the combination of Nan-Yaegashi's bright artwork and the partial voice acting for battles and the story naturally absorb you into the world.
If you liked titles like Beat Blades Haruka and Rance 6, you definitely should like this game and feel at home. Even if you didn't play those games though, this particular title by itself is a shining example of a quality eroge. |
As good as it gets.
NecroVane Evenicle is an ero-JRPG in the vein of the rance series, and by the same makers. I've seen plenty of people wondering if this game is worth picking up, and let me tell you, it most definitely is. I'll break down exactly why as best i can within the character limit.
Story:
The story of Evenicle is absolutely fantastic; it's classic JRPG fare done right, and done well. It plays with themes like human desire, our inclination to destroy ourselves, but also how these desires are the very essence of what it is to be human and are ultimately what make life worth living, even if they sometimes take control.
As the story progresses, the main evil organization starts to seem less like random douchbags, and more like a collection of people trying to free humanity from the shackles imposed on it by Mother Eve, albeit in a very destrutive way.
Eroticism:
Many ero games end up feeling like normal RPGs, with eroticism just sort of hap-hazardly thrown in as essentially random fap-material. Not so in Evenicle. The eroticism is built into the very world of Evenicle, such that is is a part of the story from top to bottom. Many plot points revolve around ero, and the main driving narrative involves the main character essentially on a quest to build up his clout so that he can build his harem.
Unlike the rance series, however, where you basically play as a rapist whose sex is so mind-blowingly good he ends up winning over his "victims", the ero in Evenicle is much more vanilla. The vast majority of it is loving, vanilla sex with his wives, albeit with plenty of crazy scenarios involved. This might sound like a bad thing, but unless you are dead-set against vanilla, it really isnt.
The relationship between aster and his wives is fantastic, as they are all fully fleshed out characters, and he genuinely loves all of them. They are more of an ever-growing family who all eat dinner together, joke and fight with each other, and all get along like a normal family would. They just all happen to also be screwing the protagonist.
Part of the allure of the game's progression also revolves around the eroticism: as you get further in the game, your number of "wive slots" increases. Each time it does, and you progress into the next area, you are always wondering who the next wive will be, as you encounter several characters that you don't end up marrying until a few chapters after meeting them. Will i finally marry that girl i met two chapters ago? will i marry someone completely new i havent met yet? the game keeps you wanting to progress forward to find out, just as much as to find out about the main plot.
Characters and Writing:
Perhaps the single strongest part of Evenicle is the characters and the writing. i honestly didnt find a single character(except QD, i hate bratty OP lolis) who i disliked. They all have great dialogue, they all get plenty of laughs, they play off of each other, they respond situations believeably, and all of them build a genuine family together with the protagonist as the game progresses.
Conclusion:
Evenicle is absolutely fantastic, one of the best ero-rpgs i've ever played, and at easily over 40+ hours, it's well worth every penny. I just hope they make a sequel! |
A great old school JRPG
restricted12345 Basically, if you have a fondness of 2D JRPGs, this game will feel pretty nostalgic for you. The biggest issue is that the game in general is pretty easy especially in the first half, so just be wary of that. If you don't like old school JRPGs simply because they are too hard for you, I recommend giving this game a try. One aspect that Evenicle does really well is its overworld. The fact that it is 2.5D makes the world feel far more alive than it would feel than it were purely 2D. Exploring for the sake of exploring is a ton of fun, and necessary since many important skills are in treasure chests. If you've avoided the Rance series mostly for its rapist protagonist, then give Evenicle a try. The sex initiated by the protagonist is almost all vanilla, though it does dabble in a fetish here or there. Like the Rance series, Evenicle has great character interactions and good world building. It's a good jumping on point for anyone who wants to try out a non-nukige Alicesoft game. All of that said, note that I said that the sex initiated by the protagonist is mostly vanilla. Evenicle's world seems happy, but under the colorful exterior, the society can be pretty screwed up. While a vanilla scene won't turn into NTR halfway through or anything like that, keep your guard up for some seriously messed up things. Evenicle is a mostly light hearted game, but it's not afraid to gut punch you when you least expect it. |
Solid Game
Sephiroth73003 Game was surprisingly good and story flip flops between serious and light hearted in a good way. Characters are enjoyable and a couple battles have interesting mechanics that force you to actually think them through. Scenes are well done and have a good mix of gals. This or Alchemy Meister I'd say is the best H-game i've ever played, it kept me engaged and interested for ~35 hours before I 100%'d it. |
Simple but good
manigontia Simple game mechanics and a pretty good story. |
Great game
cyclops Seriously loved it been playing it every day for the past week. |
Couldn't keep up the Pace
Verlindios As mentioned in the game description it's all about a 'sex seeking adventure'. And the game is definitely all about sex with all it's glory and ashemedly also with its negatives.
Let's start with the positives: - Character Design; - OST; - Basic but neat combat;
Whilst playing the game I also noted some thing I didn't like, which are: - The choices which are present dont matter much; - You can't choose which girls to marry. In the beginning the characters which join you on your adventure are very nice I thought, but eventually less interesting characters take up the slots which I had rather filled in with others; - The game contains sickening rape;
Summarized I would say that this game would be worth to play depending on your preferences. Perhaps worth to buy around the 25-30 price range. |
*Mostly* a game I like...
SpectralTime ...But that statement must be qualified.
From the marketing and the blurbs here, I came in expecting an adventure that was lighthearted, fun, and relatively vanilla. And, usually, it is. The character writing is pretty good, the story is, if not supremely original, at least good at maintaining forward momentum, and while the battle system won't set the world on fire, it's got some good mechanics underneath. Plus, the world is different in some interesting ways from Standard Fantasy Stuff, one or two little obvious problems aside.
Here comes the but though... that's only *most* of the time. Unfortunately, a decent chunk of this game is super-dark, complete with uncomfortably-detailed and disturbing scenes of rape and worse, many of which go on a heck of a lot longer than the happy consensual scenes. Few of them feel necessary, and their gratuity makes them come across as mean-spirited and sour.
I generally don't like games about likeable heroines being horribly violated by monsters and rotten people. It's why I didn't buy *Kuroinu*. And you, prospective buyer, deserve fair warning that this game has got a *lot* of likable heroines being horribly violated by monsters and rotten people. With their inner despair lovingly detailed and fetishized in the process. |
Surprisingly good.
Darkreprieve Evenicle is a pretty damn solid RPG. Combat system is surprisingly in depth for an eroge and offers quite a bit of leeway. Really itched that completionist craving I had with competed map %, 100 unique locations, 43 flirting events(where you get to have a nice chit chat with one of your ten waifus.), 35 romance events(similar to flirting events but extended with cgs and sometimes h-scences), 24 catchable gal monsters(which show a capture cg and grant you an equipable item.), and 15 super-bosses which usually require a specific strategy to defeat. Sometimes the chat can get a bit lengthy but shit, you're on a visual novel site...10/10. Would love a part 2. |
Amazing Eroge!
Mordeth_Kai Has the best take on the legend of Arthur I've ever seen.
Jokes aside, it has an excellent blend of zero fucks given, humor, and deep serious shit. Not as hard core as rance, but not for the squeamish either. Great story, great lore, fun gameplay, it's the full package for people who want real eroge instead of VN's. |
Suge!!
Blademan54 Yeah! |
Review
GJbindels This game is intresting, it's a liniar story in an rpg style openworld. Think pokemon, battles are fun too. That being said I do think the characters feel a little flat and not deep they jump into a relationship a bit to easy. The plot and who are the bad guys are too easy too see. And there are no real suprises or major plot twists.
I would say give this game a try if you can. as it is fun to play. |
Well Done!
Goldenargo85 I love the Rance Series from Alice Soft so I had to try this. Aster is not Rance but hes a man true to his urges and it plays out well. Gameplay is fun and long. Its fun to see familiar characters like Hannies from Rance but this is a great story on its own. A little warning Alice soft can be a bit rougher than happy Ero games and this one is very rape heavy and more so avoid if it bothers you. |
Do you even need a review?!
