A Yuri VN of Various Flavors!
thevoidyvoid
*Minor spoilers* In Sisterly Bliss, there is a status bar that can be viewed from the menu that shows you how tilted your choices are in favor of one girl's emotions over another. According to the game, you should try your best to keep these emotions in balance! And well, that's true to an extent; if you want that sweet, precious yuri story we all know and love, where they end up happily together and have lovely lesbian sex at the end, you should probably do as they say.But if you're a rebel like me and decide to throw things completely out of wack... well, let's just say things can quickly take a rather dark turn. I was extremely (and pleasantly) surprised to find that this title was my first yandere Yuri experience. Yes, you read that right.Anyways... for your first play-through, I recommend doing as the game tells you and paying attention to that status bar. Then you can enjoy your happy Yuri-fic ending and shelve this away for another rainy day. Then again, maybe you're a sadistic bastard like me and you'll enjoy going back to... er, tip the scales a bit. The choice is yours! ^_^

Fluffy but Surprising

Lovely visual novel about two identical twin sisters, though that's not much of a difficult feat to achieve given how few yuri incest stuff are out there (fewer still readable in English). The art style is amazing, and conveys the sense of softness that the story has (mostly). The music is decent, but props to the opening theme; it's catchy and fits the mood of these lovers. Voice acting is good overall.A gimmick of Sisterly Bliss that slightly sets it apart from the read-only standard VN is the relationship gauge. It's a scale between the twins that constantly tilts in a direction depending on your plot choices, and where it ends up determines which of the endings you'll get. So keep an eye on that relationship status if there's a specific ending you're going for. The nice thing about this is that you can pick whichever story choices you want without it specifically funneling you to an ending you don't want, as long as the gauge is still tilting towards the ending you DO want.On that note, the endings are all at least good. The good endings are heartfelt and satisfying. The bad endings are... Well, it'd be a disservice if you don't experience them. The amount of effort put into the bad endings alone is worth seeing them.Overall I love it, despite it not quite expanding on its themes of homosexuality and incest as much as I'd like. But it's very clearly not just being an eroge game only. A shame since I wanted more, and there's just not enough yuri incest in the world, much less one about identical twins. For its price, considering its short length and the history of its English translation project, I feel like it leans a tad too much on the high side. It's still worth it for the cuteness alone, and to support more of this subgenre. A must-have alongside Candy Boy.PS: The "Family" tag definitely does NOT belong here. Needs at least "School", "Romance", and "Incest".

I'll be frank in admitting I don't really like purchasing Visual Novels, it is precious money that I would rather put towards other things. But this game really is an exception for me: The art is a clear labor of love easily investing you in the characters from appearance alone, they're cute, the designs are simple, but memorable, and the writing while succinct is powerful! The inherent struggle of our primary protagonists which fuels the desire to see them prevail against the chains of taboo. You feel their plight, and you want them to succeed! And let me emphasize the wonderful voice acting that captures the distress, the passion, squeezing the empathy of your mortal body. I love it! Love it! Love it! I would give these VAs medals if I could. But! The biggest flaw, and what I think holds this game back is simply the length. This game is not long, it is excruciatingly short. It's like having an appetizer as your main meal; I understand good art and voice-acting is incredibly costly, but I was left hungering for so much more and Sisterly Bliss just left me wanting.I am really looking forward to further updates from this developer, and I really hope to see these characters make a return as highly unlikely as it sounds. At the very least, something within the same genre would happily have my dollar.
