Amakawa Yuu
The Anti-Variant Specialist.
Yuu is the protagonist of the story, currently attending the high school; but also simultaneously working for an organization called "the Disobeyers." His organization fights against monster-like entities that can only be described as "Variants."
He has had a crush on a friend of his, Chiharu, since Junior High, yet for some specific reason, he still is not able to tell her his true feelings.

Ogawa Chiharu
The heroine of the story, Chiharu has a strong sense of determination and will within her.
She has been classmates with Yuu ever since Junior High, and he is the only male friend that she has.
She currently lives in her apartment alone, due to some her family affairs.
Chiharu seems to feel something special towards Yuu...
