Yuno Sakuraba
A brand-new idol just making her debut, Yuno is an energetic girl who jump into things without much thought. Always begging for attention from her cousin Tamaki, or Saeka, the girl who she shares a dorm room with, she’s on the path to becoming a top idol… and her childish desire to always have her cousin’s attention was what pushed her to become one in the first place.
Her trust for the reluctantly-supportive Saeka goes well beyond that of a normal friendship, and although she thinks they’re polar opposites, they manage to see eye to eye, oddly enough.
The one-liner she used in her self-introduction was a swing and miss, and she can’t stop thinking about it. She’s still fond of the joke, even if no one else seemed to be...
“Tama-chan should always, always have her eyes on me! Don’t you think so, Sae-chan?”
Tamaki Nishino
A student teacher at Ayazaki North High School, focusing on youth education, Tamaki is somewhat bothered about looking so child-like… yet, when she tries to act her age, it often backfires. She’s a bit carefree and clumsy, but generally positive.
As Yuno’s cousin, they played together quite often as children. She has been fond of idols and actresses since that young age, and still collects their merchandise to this day.
She can relate to Saeka in that both of them have to deal with Yuno in one way or another. Tamaki often gives Saeka advice, but perhaps in reality, she another person Saeka has to look after, too...?
She graduated from Ayazaki South High School, and knows Mio and Natsuki through the student council. She was in the astronomy club in her student days, and still enjoys looking at the stars.
“Yu-chan... I just wish you could learn a little from Saeka-san...”
Saeka Takatsuki
A member of the disciplinary committee, Saeka takes her position a little too seriously, garnering her a stern and even cold reputation. But in reality, she’s a kind and mostly normal girl who’s just not so good at being compassionate.
Her hometown is far away, so she lives at the dorm, and she and Yuno have shared a room since their first year. She admires both Yuno’s sprightliness and Tamaki’s caring nature.
Saeka comes from a long line of ninjas, and indeed, her grandmother is a kunoichi. She’s been put through a great deal of training from a young age, and so is quite coordinated physically. Although she doesn’t seem to realize it, it’s sometimes a topic of discussion among her friends.
“Oh, Yuno. I know it’s hard to leave her alone, but don’t pester Tamaki-sensei too much.”
