As the granddaughter of the school director, Haruka was born and raised in the pristine natural environment of Eiden island. With a warm-hearted and energetic disposition, her natural innocence has long since captivated the hearts of those around her.
Being not very well versed in the outside world, she often appears to be clumsy or obtuse, leading to her claims that ”my good point is my health!” despite consistently testing into the top of her class; especially on the subjects of math and science. Recently she has taken an interest in the newly transferred boys.
Hinata Mizuki
Mizuki loves to swim; in fact, the reason why she enrolled at Eiden is so that she could swim in the ocean whenever she wanted. With the soft currents and warm waters, she used to swim naked from time to time, but hasn’t ever since the boys saw her.
She is very athletic and a little boyish, making her so popular amongst the girls that she has a bodyguard squad, but she has no interest in them. Due to her lack of experience around boys, she sometimes comes off as a little hostile towards them, but she actually yearns to be in love. Also, she loves fancy accessories, just like any other girl.
Kamoike Ran
Her hobby is to make money; she believes that ”even dirty money builds a houses” and swindles the boys out of their money by pawning off things like ”how to be popular among girls (false, of course)” and ”a picture of a naked woman (supposedly).” The only subject she’s good at is counting money.
Despite her less than timid activities, she’s actually quite shy and is uncomfortable being in a group
Amamiya Natsume
She is a mysterious girl who doesn’t talk much and doesn’t like to mingle with other people, so she hardly has any friends—boys or girls.
Ibuki Mei
Mei is the protagonist’s teacher. She is a graduate of Eiden Academy and in her mid-20’s. She attracts boys, including the protagonist, with her mature charm, which is sometimes used to control them.
Although unusual at an all girls school, she is very popular among the female students. The girls respect and look up to her, often coming to her for advice. When she drinks, her personality changes and she starts bawling.
Takase Sakura
Sakura is a bright, energetic girl who’s friendly to everyone. She’s even able to hang with the guys without any constraints. However, because she’s so friendly and never develops any romance with the guys all while teasing the other girls, many suspect that she’s a lesbian.
Fujisaki Rin
Rin is a modest, caring girl with large breasts who’s known as ”The #1 Bridal Choice”. Although her personality is the opposite of Sakura’s, they are best friends and can often be found together. As a result she often finds her breasts being groped by Sakura. She is as interested in romance as any other girl, but because she’s so meek it’s hard for her to take initiative.

Every man's dream....
Squibeel
To be stuck on an island full of girls with your best friends. The art and voice acting are great (even if some might dislike the art a bit) and there's always something to laugh about.
I just don't give it a 5 because I'm reviewing the whole bundle and the expansion feels somewhat short and forced - even if it comes with service included.
Blow Me Away
Grendel
Graphics (Monkey Ears Grow on You) StoryArc Emotion Length and Quality. Solid Purchase, Under-priced for this Bundle. The Japanese Voice Work is very distinctive for Each Female Protagonist. The voices are endearing enough to draw you to a particular Story Arc by itself without Speaking Japanese. Would love to see the Japanese Voice Actresses do an English Dub. The Voices are that good. IMHO
Artwork
evilfangorn
While this game is quite enjoyable I found the artwork to be at a manga level. There is a plus in that most of the voice acting is accompanied by animation (mouths move, eyes blink...)
Much Better Than I Expected

I avoided buying either Edelweiss game for a long time because the art style really put me off. However, I'm glad I ended up caving in and buying the bundle pack, and now I regret having not bought it a long time ago.
Less serious than many VNs, Edelweiss is what I imagine something like the movie American Pie might be if it were a VN.
To clarify - the basic plot summary is that a small group of boys find themselves invited to attend a previously all-girls school. The island on which the school resides apparently pumps testosterone into the air, because the boys immediately act like teenage boys and start doing all the crazy hornball things you would expect: peeping, trying to hook up with any girl that walks by, etc.
The story is funny throughout, individual paths are satisfying and in some spots really heartwarming, and the expansion disc throws the two best girls into the forefront.
If you look at the game and think "Man, the art isn't up to snuff with others..." don't let that dissuade you. You won't be disappointed in the funny story of this lighthearted game.
Sum of Its Parts
Pointless
I was truly engrossed in the world of Edelweiss. If you're the type who can find emotional release in tragedy (catharsis) then I highly recommend this VN. One girl's ending made me want to swear off playing through the other routes because of how emotionally invested I was. This would be my testimonial to how gripping this VN can be.
Unlike some VNs I've played, choices for each girl's route are clearly identifiable. Just keep choosing a specific girl when their name pops up. You rarely if ever have to worry about deviating from a path.
The main game does not have a harem ending. I've confirmed this by looking through the CG galleries. However, there's a 'no-girl' ending which was surprising.
The quality of the expansion is where Edelweiss really shines. The two 'other' girls have arguably less-convoluted stories and more upbeat endings. And there's a special ending if you finish each of theirs.
Get this VN pack if you're looking for the following: -Branching storylines where each girl feels unique -Lots of comedy with varying doses of heavy drama -Hours of gameplay (I took roughly 2-3 months playing this in spurts)
Fantasy Pure ^^
Layzie
One of my First VNs ever and i need to say it was the trigger wich led to my VN love. It held many Emotion in it, but more Funny moments ^^
Great and Enjoyable Game.

Being relatively new to Visual Novels, having only played the free KS game, I was pretty apprehensive about spending money on a VN.
However, I can no say without a doubt, that it was well worth every dollar !
Edelweiss and its expansion pack offer a thoroughly entertaining storyline that has a mixture of drama, humour and romance. I found myself caring for each individual character, and there were times when I was close to tears!
The artwork in Edelweiss and its expansion were superb, the backgrounds and characters were well drawn and nice on the eye. I especially liked the female characters, with a couple being drawn for comedic effect. The English subtitles were well done, and even though I couldn't understand the Japanese dub, it was nice to listen to, as it fleshed out the characters more.
In the main game there are 5 girls that have a walk through with a added 2 in the expansion pack. 7 storyline's in total that offer many hours of game play! For those who enjoy mature content, each storyline offers mature scenes to enjoy.
All in all, I found myself immersed into the Edelweiss world and greatly enjoyed it. The hours of game play that can be gained from the 7 different storyline's is well worth the price! A great price for a great game!
Excellent game
Zemann2010
This game is very fun to play. Plenty of comedy, and an engaging story.
Some of the story is very sad and depressing, but they show the effects of such things on the characters well, and how they are to get through what has happened.
As like all Overdrive titles, the artwork is excellent and varied.
With the Eiden Fantasia expansion, the storyline is not nearly as serious as the main game, but incredibly amusing. Rin's scenario had me laughing most of the way through. The bonus scene after completing both routes is also a very nice "easter egg".
Well worth the higher price; you will spend many hours getting through each scenario.
