Awesome music
Yati
Music without DRM so ++. You will have to add the details yourself if you add it to something like an i tunes library but it is a small price to pay to be DRM
free.
A bit sad that not all the songs of the VNs are present and that there is no way to get the others atm.

The concert feels like a fan/side project someone made for fun. It is fun enough to get into the atmosphere of the VNs.

I support these kind of releases in the hope to get more from overdrive.
Good Music, Not Much Else

Starting off with the positive, and it's an important one, the music is really good, this applies to both the concert and the album, which has some songs not in the concert. Aside from that though, there's enough downsides to offset it to me.

The animation quality of the OVA is pretty poor, I've seen superbowl halftime "performers" do a better job of pretending to play an instrument than the animation for these characters did. There's several instances where it zooms out to a full band view in the middle of a song and none of the band members are even moving. There's some generic shots they reuse a fair few times for how short the "concert" is, and the transitions between each song are really awkward.

For the most part, I couldn't really get into things as the animation didn't make it even somewhat believable that any of the characters on screen were actually playing their instruments, but it also kind of felt like different animators handled d2b's segment, as several things they animated for Kashiwara's guitar playing surprised me for being oddly specific (pick slides and kill-switch usage), and even something like bending that they animated for her didn't seem to be animated anywhere else that I noticed.

Moving to the album, there's no animation or anything to criticize there, but it's still handled poorly. The files aren't really even titled properly, for example, the song generally known as "My dear stardust", has a filename of "02 MyDear (DEARDROPS)". I don't see any reason why this version of the song wouldn't have "stardust" in it, or spacing, for that matter. In addition to that, only the filenames are filled in, fields for song name, album, and contributing artist are left blank. The poor handling of the song information on the album is what made me drop this from 3 stars to 2, I feel like if you're paying a fair bit of money for music, you shouldn't have to do extra work to fill in the information to make it sortable .
