Kuresaka Teru
By all appearances, a pleasant, handsome young man. His academic and athletic abilities are slightly above average. Although popular with girls, he’s taken on the role of ”the main character’s best friend” as the likable jokester of his friend group.
In reality, he’s a cunning, egotistical liar. He won’t hesitate to lie or use others if it benefits him. In his mind this is the natural order of the world, and he looks down on anyone who can’t play the game as a despicable loser.

Ataka Mao
Teru’s childhood friend. A dignified-looking girl with dark hair and keen insight.
She detests lies, helps those who are weaker, won’t stand for injustice and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Essentially, a White Knight.
An eccentric type who would normally be ridiculed and isolated, but has become beloved by those around her in her own right. Naturally her upstanding personality rubs a lot of people the wrong way, chief among them Teru, whom she fights with constantly.
