Last name: Kan, First name: U, Common Name: Unchou, True name: Aisha
Kan’u is the girl who appears before Kazuto once he’s thrown into the alternate world. She is a formidable warrior, as demonstrated by the way she drove away the bandits attacking Kazuto with her Green Dragon Crescent Blade.
She swears allegiance to Kazuto, because she believes that he is a messenger from Heaven, sent to quell the wars enveloping the world and bring peace back to the land.
She is an idealist who works hard each day to create a world where the weak can live in peace. She has a very straight-laced personality, but she’s also the type who feels embarrassed more easily than most other girls. She’s quite a jealous woman, and gets into a foul mood whenever she catches Kazuto chatting with another woman, but she also doesn’t realize that she’s acting jealous.
”For all the people who have suffered in these long wars, I, Kan Unchou, shall become a merciless blade, and smite those lawless bandits!”
”M-my lord, what are you doing!? That’s dirty...... Ngh!”
”W-w-w-w-wh-what are you saying!? I’d never do something like that......!”
Last name: Chou, First name: Hi, Common name: Yokutoku, True name: Rinrin
Chouhi appears alongside Kan’u as one of the first to meet Kazuto. Despite her small size, she’s a fiery girl capable of mowing down enemies with her Viper Spear, which stands several times her height. She may be formidable enough to fight Kan’u on even grounds, but her childish nature and mischievous pranks often cause her to be scolded by Kan’u. Still, she’s just a spoiled girl who never lets that get to her.
When not on the battlefield, she enjoys running around and playing with children, as well as catching bugs.
”Grrr! Don’t call me a midget, or I’ll blow you away!”
”Onii-chan, look, I caught a beetle!”
”I, Enhito Chou Yokutoku, have now arrived with my Viper Spear to crush the bad guys!”
Last name: Chou, First name: Un, Common Name: Shiryuu, True name: Sei
Chouun appears shortly after Kazuto, Kan’u, and Chouhi form their volunteer army, and strikes out to face over 10,000 Yellow Turbans single-handedly. When she swings her spear, it dances through the air, causing enemies to crumble beneath her, one after another. However, she does not join Kazuto’s army until later on.
She is always calm, never losing her composure. However, her tastes run considerably differently from other people: she loves menma, she views physical compatibility as the important part of relationships, and she has a bit of an off-beat personality.
”Hmm. I didn’t realize you had that kind of taste, My Lord. What a coincidence. I was interested in that myself.”
”I am Chou Shiryuu of Northern Changshang, and I have come to do My Lord’s bidding! Now fall before my spear, shed your blood, and leave your corpse behind!”
”Not so fast, Kan’u. I will pick out some clothes for you. I trust you have no objections?” ”There we go. You look splendid and cute in the clothes I picked for you. Yes, I do think I’m satisfied.” (But they’re actually really weird clothes.)
Last name: Ba, First name: Chou, Common Name: Mouki, True name: Sui
After her father was killed in a plot by Sousou’s forces, Bachou fled to Kazuto’s faction.
In a word, she’s headstrong. One she spots her enemy, she’ll charge in headlong, even if it’s a trap, and crush them with brute force. She’s a cheerful, energetic girl, but since she was raised solely by a single man, she has a foul mouth. Yet, despite that, she knows nothing about sex, and is an extremely shy person.
”You think you can defeat me, Bachou the Splendid? Well then, let me see you try!”
”M-My Lord, I-I think I might d-d-die from e-e-embarrassment from looking like this......”
”I- it’s not that I like sex or anything, it’s just that since you want to, My Lord, I-I-I can’t really refuse......”
”I won’t let you get away with this! I’m going to kill you right now! Just you wait, you bastard!”
Last name: Kou, First name: Chuu, Common Name: Kanshou, True name: Shion
Later on, Kouchuu’s daughter is taken captive by Enshou, and she is forced to face to Kazuto’s army. Thanks to her almost superhuman skill with the bow, she gives Kazuto’s side quite a lot of trouble. However, Kazuto manages to rescue her daughter, and so Kouchuu surrenders to him. What’s more, she decides to join his faction.
Though she appears refined, and speaks in a gentle tone, she loves sex and often tempts Kazuto. She also likes to let her imagination run wild, and she tends to start panting when she imagines Kazuto and Chouhi having sex. Her daughter, Riri, often chides her for that.
”Oh my, My Lord. What are you doing here so late at night? Do you mean to say...... that you are here for my body? Hu-hu-hu......”
”Now taste the sting of The Divine Archer’s arrows!”
”Hu-hu, you’re so big, My Lord...... Shall I do something to calm it down?”
Last name: Shokatsu, First name: Ryou, Common Name: Koumei, True name: Shuri
Shokatsuryou is a young girl whom Kazuto saves from the Yellow Turbans near the beginning of the story.
Although she is quiet and reserved, she has a gentle soul. However, because she studied at Suikyou’s (all-girls) school, she is not very comfortable around men.
After Kazuto saves her from the Yellow Turbans, she warms to him, and devotes herself to him in more ways than one. Her strategic insight is second to none, and soon she becomes the chief strategist for Kazuto’s army.
Once Kazuto learns that she is in fact Koumei, he begins to believe that he might be in a parallel world.
”Hawawa, My Lord, the enemies are here!”
”I can’t understand why anyone would make the weak suffer. That’s why I studied hard?so I could protect the people with my own power....”
”Right flank, Kan’u-san, advance! Left flank, Chouhi-chan, fall back and cover our main forces! Umm, umm......Chouun-san, strike the enemy from the rear!”
Hongou Kazuto is a young man who attends St. Francessca Academy. He loves cute girls, and he’s a bit of a ladies’ man, but he holds a firm sense of moral obligation and a passionate heart, willing to risk everything for the sake of his friends.
He’s not very good at his studies, but because of his grandfather, he loves to read historical novels, and gained an eye for seeing the truth behind things. Once he gets wrapped up in the incident, he finds himself yanked from reality and thrown into another world (The world of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms).
Although he was a member of the St. Francessca Academy’s kendo club, and is by no means untrained, the superhuman abilities of the generals in the parallel world make his abilities seem insignificant. Even his allies joke that he is a weakling.

WE NEED SEQUELS
This is a fantastic series that provides hours of entertainment, and while the main "gameplay' is a little lackluster, you have to view it more as a novel with a minigame. The characters are the serious selling point to this franchise and its inevitable that you will have at least one you can't help but fall for.
WE DESERVE THE SEQUELS
Huge fan of the anime, and the visual novel for this series is just as great, very enjoyable with the combat aspect that it has! I love the story so much. I really wish we could have the sequels localized to further enjoy it some more!
HOPING FOR A SEQUEL
What makes Koihime Musou so amazing is that every character is fleshed out so well. It is a must buy for fans of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I sincerely hope that Shin Koihime Musou is localized because there are so many more interesting characters in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
PLEASE GIVE US MORE
Koihime Musou is without a doubt the best visual novel available in English. If Shin Koihime Musou was available, I'd buy it in a heartbeart.
Romance ALL the Kingdoms
So much adorable tsundere, I don't even know where to start.
Koihime Musou retells Romance of the Three Kingdoms with all the main characters gender-swapped, so if you like that then you have already won. The characters are entertaining and enjoyable parodies of their historical and fictional counter-parts. The story is long and the battle gameplay fairly entertaining, even if it is easily sussed.
Unfortunately the translation during sex scenes often becomes cringe-worthy toward the end. While most of the translation was done seriously, the rest was split between someone who thinks "feeling good" means "getting off," and someone who either was 10 or who plugged a random number generator into a bad sex thesaurus.
really good game.
an awesome game thats worth the money. gotta admit though Kazuto is a bit of a douche in my opinion the way he gets it on with all the girls. he makes all these excuses that he can't rectify his "problem" without their "help" yet in the real life scheme of things it's very easy to rectify it without doing anything at all. thats not to say i hate him, it's just a bit of a low move. but if they're naive enough to fall for it i suppose they deserve it xD. aside from that though i think he's cool as he does genuinely care for the well being of his comrades and his country. all in all i think it's a great game and as others have said i would love to see a sequel. it's also inspired me to search out the anime versions of this game as a result :).
Good game, terrible story.
The game feels big, long and with five scenes per person or clan. The story follows one in, but is predictive and a little boring in the long run. The only good thing about the course of history is the battles. There is something for every taste.
Sex-scenes: 4 Stars Story: 2 Stars Battles: 5 Stars Endinds: 1 Star The girls you fuck: 5 Stars The game self: 4 Stars
Cute, Sexy, Funny, Heartening
I can't say this is perfect. The battle system is not much and I skip the battles after the first play through. They are pretty easy but the system is not very well explained. Every thing else though. PERFECTO. The characters are funny, cute, and sexy. The music is incredible I listen to it simply when I want good music. And the stories is by turns hilarious, cute, sad, and heartrenching. Butterfly masks will never be the same ... or fireflies ... or....I could go on all day I haven't even mentioned the artwork, or the voiceacting.. I would be remiss though if I didn't mention one thing. The game has a philosophical bent that only comes out in the end and may very well be only done as a big joke and a great change to break the fourth wall, but I enjoyed it and it did make me think. I bought, I played, I fapped, I cried, but I also thought.
When time and money allows will I buy more baseson games? You betcha!
I love this game, with out a doubt I would recommend this to anyone. The characters are fun and memorable, Most of the home base conversations are hilarious, The art work is great and the soundtracks is incredible.
The emotional investment I what got me the most, not just with the characters but the game itself, every time I got to work I'm itching to get back and continue playing and normally when I finish a VN I don't often return to play it since I've already played all of the routes and I know what's going to happen and I feel at a loss, what else is there that can fill this gap but with this I want to continue playing despite knowing what is going to happen.
It is by far the best VN I've played so far and it be honest this is more that worth the price I paid.
The other reviews sums it up quite nicely (lols to Oakator), so I won't get too detailed.
Pros: -Good artwork -Good soundtrack (or at least appropriate) -Good voiceacting -Interesting story -Vast and engaging cast of characters
Cons -No fault of the game's, but I burned myself out trying to marathon 100% completion. Yea, don't do that.
I don't regret the purchase or the time spent on the game, so Koihime Musou is: d=(^_^)=b
Grand New Adventure
This was my first time playing this kind of game and I am glad I tried it. The story was well written, the battle system felt just right for the story and the H scenes are amazing. I'll definitely play this kind of game again and will definitely play BaseSon again
Amazing must buy
I love this game more than any other. I would recommend this to all gamers alive, it has everything you want, sex, strategy (Not the best but amusing), romance, and a great story!
I love this game
A long, well-told story with a large cast of amazing characters. By turns funny, serious, and touching, I very much enjoyed it in this aspect.
I'm also a huge fan of BaseSon's art. Numerous and varied sex scenes with all the girls, as well as some striking battle cgs. Nobody else makes games that look this good.
I'm not so big a fan of the battle system. It is basically an expanded version of Rock Paper Scissors. Every enemy has a 1 or 2 formation pattern, so once you see that it is very easy to win.
So, aside from the mediocre battles, I love everything about this game. Well worth a purchase.
Best hentai game I've played
This game is an easy 5 in every single category. My only regret is that there appears to be no sequel. The characters are amazing, the H scenes are very well described and drawn. There are TONS of scenes and TONS of characters to interact with. The music is simply amazing, I find myself listening to it sometimes while doing homework, its that addicting. The combat system can be somewhat difficult at first but if you lose a fight you just start over with a handicap in your favor to make it easier. They also added character voices if that interests you.
Nice artwork and several hours of great storytelling to keep you entertained. With plenty of likeable characters this is a visual novel that must make part of any collection.
A Must Buy
Easily the best title here. A well executed story with beautiful characters, this game has everything you could want. The sex-scenes are numerous, great, and feature a very wide variety of situations and characters. There is even has a built in battle system that adds to the experience.
I bought this game for the reason we're all here, to find some damn good eroge. Upon starting the game I was expecting it to be... hmm... liberal in it's approach of the way of the pervert(?). After an hour or so and with out a single sex-scene... I found myself actually enjoying the story and the game itself. My prayers were however, eventually answered... my god were they answered. A fantastic game.
Great value for money
Great story mixed with a ton of characters that you interact with (not to mention the art en voice acting) makes this one of my top picks. This plus the added battle system that never feels like a chore and presents a nice challenge (and helps you out if you can't win).
With its diverse and likable cast of characters, interesting story, entertaining gameplay, and top notch voice acting and music, Koihime Musou well deserves its place as Mangagamer's bigges seller. While I do think the story slows down a little in the middle and the battle system could have used more polish, this is still an excellent game that should not be missed by anyone and has my highest reccomendations. For my full review go here: http://gamesforadultsandeveryone.blogspot.com/2012/10/games-for-adults-koihime-musou-heart.html
I loved this game, from the fun blend of characters and their personalities to the battle system that helps break up the story. In particular I loved the story, but it will definetly take you awhile to get through all the girls stories, and that is where the battle system comes in which is quite fun. Its basic and doesn't recquire too much thought, but it is perfect for this story. I especially would like to see a second to this title based off of the Unique Harem ending you can unlock. All in all you definetly get a long lasting and replayable game for what you pay into it.
